Principal Dancer | Inter-American Choreographic institute Ambassador

Nathalia Arja is a Brazilian-born choreographer, educator, and principal dancer with Miami City Ballet- built on musicality, precision, and purpose.

Once described by Pointe magazine as a “breath of fresh air,” Nathalia Arja is now stepping beyond the stage and into leadership. As an experienced principal dancer with Miami City Ballet, a rising choreographer, and an educator, she creates space for dancers to move not just correctly — but honestly. Her work doesn’t stop at technique. It’s about helping artists grow with rigor, yes, but also with freedom, authenticity, and sustainability.

This is ballet reimagined from the inside out.

She spent over a decade at the top. Now she's building something different.

Not a masterclass in more rules. Not another principal telling you to "just feel it." Nathalia Arja is creating a new kind of space in ballet — one where rigor and freedom finally shake hands. Where dancers grow without breaking. Where the music leads, and the artist follows. What that actually looks like?
